Formed in 2019, SssidewinderssS is the high-energy, genre-defying electronic music group founded by producer Steven “ScRouNGe” Coolis and his older brother, vocalist Fully Auto Flaco. Hailing from the rough neighborhoods of Duval County, Jacksonville, Florida, the brothers have channeled their gritty, raw upbringing into a powerful sound that fuses aggressive dubstep, heavy metal, and gutter hip hop. Under the banner of their label Guerrilla the Market, SssidewinderssS has carved out a unique niche in the EDM world.

ScRouNGe, a talented Ableton 12 producer, brings a dark, metal-influenced sound to the group, while Flaco, with his commanding and unmistakable vocals, delivers the aggressive, alpha-male energy that defines the band’s identity. The fusion of ScRouNGe’s production skills and Flaco’s raw lyricism creates a seismic, adrenaline-pumping sound that’s both heavy and rebellious.

Before SssidewinderssS, ScRouNGe was involved in the local music scene since he was 10 years old, founding the funk-metal band The Glassbowl Holocaust (2005-2008), while Flaco was a member of the hip-hop duo Blood Money, alongside his best friend, rapper King Redd (RIP). Together with collaborators Swordz and Sino from the hip-hop group Hunid Gang, the brothers have incorporated these rich musical backgrounds into their evolving sound. Their collaboration with Swordz & Sino, featured on SssidewinderssS track “Body Buzz,” speaks to the brothers’ deep ties to the hip-hop community.

The group’s latest album, Deliberately Dumbfounded, released in December 2024, is a 33-minute, 33-second journey into the chaos and intensity that has defined their career. The album merges heavy dubstep bass with hardcore metal elements, and Flaco’s gutter-style vocals lend it an unapologetic edge.

In addition to his work as a producer, ScRouNGe is a multifaceted creative force—he’s a professional business developer, graphic designer, video editor, and movie producer. His ability to create custom visuals and merchandise for SssidewinderssS adds another layer to the band’s identity, making them a true multimedia experience.

Driven by the brothers’ shared experiences of growing up fatherless in the tough streets of Jacksonville, SssidewinderssS’ music is a testament to resilience and defiance, capturing the struggles and triumphs of their journey. Whether on stage or through their sound, they embody the spirit of survival and rebellion, pushing the boundaries of electronic music while maintaining an unfiltered connection to their roots.
